Introduction
At Dreams, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app. We believe in transparency and want you to understand exactly what data we handle and why.
Dreams is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your financial goals, savings data, and personal information stay private and secure on your device or in your personal iCloud account.
Where Your Data is Stored
Your user data is stored in only two places:
- Locally on your device - All your goals, savings progress, and financial information are stored directly on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
- In your personal iCloud account - If you enable iCloud syncing, your data is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account for synchronization across your Apple devices.
We do not operate any servers to store your data. Your financial information, goals, savings amounts, and transaction history are never uploaded to or shared with our servers. We do not have access to your data—only you and Apple (for iCloud syncing) can access it.
All data synced through iCloud is encrypted and stored securely in your personal iCloud account. This data is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions and Apple's Privacy Policy.
End-to-End Encryption: In certain countries and regions, Apple offers Advanced Data Protection for iCloud, which provides end-to-end encryption for most iCloud data, including your Dreams goals and savings data. When enabled, this means that even Apple cannot access your encrypted data. You can enable this feature in your iCloud settings if it's available in your region.
You can disable iCloud syncing at any time in your device settings, though this will prevent your goals and progress from syncing across devices.
Data Syncing with iCloud
Dreams uses iCloud to sync your goals, savings progress, and settings across your Apple devices. This includes:
- Your savings goals and targets
- Progress tracking and milestones
- Transaction history and savings entries
- App settings and preferences
This synchronization ensures that your goals and progress are up-to-date across all your Apple devices, providing a seamless experience whether you're using your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
